Yvonne Dodson owns and runs Mister Softee DFW. She grew up here, raised her family here, and now brings the truck to the neighborhoods she knows.
Meet Yvonne
Yvonne spent more than twenty years in corporate advertising, marketing and software. She wanted work that made people happy, and nothing does that like the sound of the Mister Softee jingle coming down the street.
She and her husband are both from Dallas–Fort Worth and raised six children here. Yvonne studied at West Texas A&M in Canyon. These days you'll find her at the ballpark with her youngest son when she's not on the truck.
Her promise is simple: great service, a good time and great ice cream at every stop.

Where do you go?
Anywhere in Dallas, Tarrant and Ellis counties.
Do you run all year?
Yes. DFW only gets a month or two of cold weather, so we book events year-round.
Can the truck serve indoors?
No. Our generators are designed for outdoor use only.
Is there a charge for the truck to show up?
It depends on the location and type of event. Often there's no cost, but a long stay can carry a charge.
Do you charge for an office food truck day?
Not if a good crowd is guaranteed. Otherwise there's a minimum. Tell us where you are and who to contact.
How far ahead should I book?
As far in advance as possible. Small events need 24–48 hours and larger events 2–4 days.
What's the deposit?
50% of the quoted fee. We take online invoice, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or card.
What if I need to cancel?
We'll try to reschedule first. If that doesn't work and it's within 10 days of the event, we refund minus a $150 fee.
How many calories are in a cone?
A vanilla cone is about 200 calories, a little more with sprinkles. Full nutrition information is available on request.
